Festive British crime movie Silent Night is set for theatrical release on December 11th, courtesy of Lightbulb Film Distribution and Break Em Films. The movie is due to arrive on digital download platforms on December 14th, with the DVD release expected on December 28th.
Written and directed by Will Thorne – in his feature debut – the film stars Bradley Taylor, Cary Crankson, Frank Harper, Nathaniel Martello-White, and Joel Fry. It is produced by Judd Tilyard, Mark Lacey, Will Thorne, Bradley Taylor and Verity Fiction.
Silent Night is an independent British crime thriller centering on a former hitman trying to go legit following his release from prison. His plans are thwarted when he is forced to do one last job.
One. Last. Job.
Recently released from prison, Mark (Bradley Taylor) attempts to reconnect with his daughter and hopes to give her a Christmas to remember. Struggling to find work, and trying to go straight following his release, he meets Alan (Cary Crankson), his former cell-mate, who encourages him to return to a life of crime. A decision made easier when Caddy (Frank Harper), a ruthless crime boss, blackmails him into doing one last job – kill all three Azzi Brothers otherwise his daughter is under threat. Will Mark be able to complete the contract and save his daughter?

Writer and director Will Thorne said, “I love the ritual of watching Christmas movies, so I wanted to create something that was uniquely British, cinematic and entertaining in the hope people would want to return to it. All independent filmmaking is a labour of love, so I’m really excited to get Silent Night out there. After the year that we’ve all had, I’m pretty sure what we need right now is a South London hitman movie set at Christmas!”
