Ten of the Best Mob Photos

The pure nature of secrecy surrounding La Cosa Nostra means that it’s generally not possible to have a plethora of decent, high-quality photographs to choose from. The best photos are usually the candid moments, or family images released on rare occasions for books or remembrance. The truth is that most are just plain mugshots – though these can sometimes turn out to be the best ones of all!

So here (in our humble opinion) are ten of the best…in no particular order!

The ‘Oddfather’ Vincent ‘Chin’ Gigante (former Genovese family boss) mugshot
Al Capone with his son, Albert, getting an autograph from Gabby Hartnett at a Cubs v White Sox game in September, 1931
John Gotti Jr (right) and friends in the 90’s
‘The Prime Minister’ Frank Costello doing some fishing
Charles ‘Lucky’ Luciano as he leaves court in Palermo circa. late 1940’s

Joey Merlino (Philadelphia) and Meek Mill
Neil Dellacroce (former Gambino family underboss)

Whether you love or hate these guys, you have to admit there are some real gems here! Would you agree with this selection? Are there any obvious ones we missed out that you think should be included….or photos that don’t merit inclusion here? Let us know!
